1. Passed really closely
2. Swerved into your path and then out of your path
Roadway description: No bicycle markings
Your story: Had an incident with the Beyond Borders “farm to food truck” while riding east down Harrison. He crept into the right lane a few times, then passed me with about 6 inches to spare. I banged on the side of the truck with an open palm to get the driver’s attention, and he threatened to run me off the road, saying I had to only stay on the right edge and was not allowed to be in a lane. He sped off yelling about how hard enough it is to drive a truck in the city. I contacted the restaurant affiliated to report their driver’s behavior, but no response.
1. Truck Driver education – especially those that operate in known congested areas
2. Ability for cyclists to report dangerous larger vehicles to the city – especially recognizable trucks and those already licensed by the city for other activities.
3. Steeper fines and enforcement for offences that involved vehicles above a certain size or certain weight.
